Terms of service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking or using services provided by Dove Release Toronto (“we,” “our,” “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with a booking.

2. Services Provided

Dove Release Toronto provides ceremonial dove release services for events including, but not limited to, weddings, memorials, funerals, and special occasions. All services are subject to availability, weather conditions, venue restrictions, and animal welfare considerations.

3. Booking & Payment

  • All bookings must be confirmed in advance.

  • A deposit or full payment may be required to secure your booking.

  • Prices are provided at the time of booking and may vary based on location, event type, and special requests.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

  • All services provided by Dove Release Toronto are non-refundable.

  • Refunds will only be considered if a service is cancelled or cannot be completed due to a business decision made by Dove Release Toronto.

  • Any approved refund request must be submitted within 30 days of the cancelled or incomplete service.

  • No refunds will be issued for client-initiated cancellations, completed services, or cancellations due to weather, venue restrictions, or circumstances beyond our control.

5. Event Conditions & Client Responsibilities

  • The client is responsible for ensuring the venue permits dove releases and complies with local bylaws or regulations.

  • Dove Release Toronto is not responsible for delays, restrictions, or cancellations caused by venue policies or third parties.

  • Clients must provide accurate event details (date, time, location). Changes may result in additional fees or service limitations.

6. Weather & Safety

For the safety and well-being of the doves, services may be modified, delayed, or cancelled due to unsuitable weather conditions. Such decisions are made at our sole discretion and in the best interest of the animals.

7. Animal Welfare

The health, safety, and humane treatment of our doves are our top priority. We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue a service if conditions are deemed unsafe for the animals.

8. Limitation of Liability

Dove Release Toronto shall not be held liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability arising out of or related to the services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client.

9. Media, Photography & Recording

Dove Release Toronto may photograph or record video during events for documentation, operational, training, and promotional purposes, including use on our website, social media platforms, advertising materials, and other marketing channels.

Where individuals are identifiable, such images or recordings may constitute personal information under applicable privacy laws. Such processing is carried out based on Dove Release Toronto’s legitimate business interests, including promoting our services, documenting events, and maintaining business records, subject to applicable law.

By booking our services, the client acknowledges and agrees that media may be captured during the event. Clients may request, in writing and prior to the event, that identifiable images or recordings of themselves or specific individuals not be used for marketing or promotional purposes. We will make reasonable efforts to honor such requests where practicable.

This section does not affect any rights individuals may have under applicable privacy or data protection laws, including the right to object to certain processing or request deletion, subject to legal and operational limitations.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Dove Release Toronto is not responsible for missed photographic or video moments due to weather conditions, venue restrictions, safety considerations, or circumstances beyond our control.

10. Drop-Off Service Option

Dove Release Toronto may, at its sole discretion, offer a drop-off service option in which doves and/or related equipment are delivered to the client or a designated receiver prior to the event without a representative present for the release.

By selecting the drop-off option, the client and/or designated receiver agree to the following:

Care, Custody & Property Responsibility

Upon delivery, temporary custody and full responsibility transfers to the client or designated receiver for:

  • The doves; and

  • All Dove Release Toronto property delivered with the service, including but not limited to release cages, decorative stands, baskets, transport crates, tables, coverings, or any other equipment or materials provided.

All doves and equipment remain the sole property of Dove Release Toronto at all times.

The client or receiver agrees to:

  • Keep all doves and equipment secure and protected from harm, theft, misuse, or damage.

  • Ensure proper supervision at all times.

  • Prevent unauthorized access, handling, relocation, or interference.

  • Maintain safe and suitable conditions for both the doves and equipment.

The client assumes full financial responsibility for any loss, theft, damage, destruction, or misuse of the doves or Dove Release Toronto property occurring after delivery and prior to release or retrieval.

Repair or replacement costs will be charged at full market value where applicable.

Release Responsibility

The client or designated receiver assumes full responsibility for the timing, method, and conditions of the release.

Dove Release Toronto shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, failure to return, or incident arising after the doves and/or equipment have been delivered under a drop-off arrangement.

Strict Handling Limitation

The doves must not be:

  • Transferred to alternate containers,

  • Handled excessively,

  • Fed unauthorised substances,

  • Marked, altered, or modified in any way,

  • Exposed to unsafe weather or environmental conditions,

  • Subjected to any activity other than safe holding prior to release.

No equipment may be altered, decorated, re-positioned unsafely, disassembled, or used for any purpose other than its intended ceremonial function.

Nothing other than proper supervision and the agreed release shall be done to the doves or equipment.

No Liability After Drop-Off

From the time of delivery until release or retrieval, Dove Release Toronto assumes no responsibility or liability for:

  • The doves,

  • The equipment,

  • The event,

  • Third-party interactions,

  • Or any resulting consequences.

All risks during this period are assumed by the client.

Pick-Up Option

If the doves are not released and retrieval is requested, a pick-up fee equal to 50% of the original service cost will apply. Pick-up scheduling is subject to availability.

Any additional costs arising from improper handling, failure to release, recovery efforts, veterinary care, equipment repair, or replacement shall be the responsibility of the client.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Updates will be posted on our website and become effective immediately upon posting.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
